Jesus Christ in Islam (Part 2)

REFUTATION BY JESUS TO PEOPLE’S ALLEGATION AGAINST HIS MOTHER IN HIS CHILDHOOD :

Then she brought him to her people, carrying him. They said, “O Mary, you have certainly done a thing unprecedented.

O sister of Aaron, your father was not a man of evil, nor was your mother unchaste.”

So she pointed to him. They said, “How can we speak to one who is in the cradle a child?”

[Jesus] said, “Indeed, I am the servant of Allah . He has given me the Scripture and made me a prophet.

And He has made me blessed wherever I am and has enjoined upon me prayer and Charity as long as I remain alive

And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.

And peace is on me the day I was born and the day I will die and the day I am raised alive.”

~Surah Maryam (19:27-33)

BELIEF IN JESUS :

They say, “Be Jews or Christians [so] you will be guided.” Say, “Rather, [we follow] the religion of Abraham, inclining toward truth, and he was not of the polytheists.”

Say, [O believers], “We have believed in Allah and what has been revealed to us and what has been revealed to Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac and Jacob and the Descendants and what was given to Moses and Jesus and what was given to the prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and we are Muslims [in submission] to Him.”

~Surah Al-Baqrah (2:135-136)

Narrated ‘Ubada:

The Prophet said, “If anyone testifies that None has the right to be worshipped but Allah Alone Who has no partners, and that Muhammad is His Servant and His Apostle, and that Jesus is Allah’s Servant and His Apostle and His Word which He bestowed on Mary and a Spirit created by Him, and that Paradise is true, and Hell is true, Allah will admit him into Paradise with the deeds which he had done even if those deeds were few.” (Junada, the sub-narrator said, ” ‘Ubada added, ‘Such a person can enter Paradise through any of its eight gates he likes.”)

STATUS OF JESUS’ DISCIPLES :

[Mention] when Allah said, “O Jesus, indeed I will take you and raise you to Myself and purify you from those who disbelieve and make those who follow you [in submission to Allah alone] superior to those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is your return, and I will judge between you concerning that in which you used to differ.

~Surah Ale-Imran (3:55)

MIRACLES OF JESUS :

[The Day] when Allah will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, remember My favor upon you and upon your mother when I supported you with the Pure Spirit and you spoke to the people in the cradle and in maturity; and [remember] when I taught you writing and wisdom and the Torah and the Gospel; and when you designed from clay [what was] like the form of a bird with My permission, then you breathed into it, and it became a bird with My permission; and you healed the blind and the leper with My permission; and when you brought forth the dead with My permission; and when I restrained the Children of Israel from [killing] you when you came to them with clear proofs and those who disbelieved among them said, “This is not but obvious magic.”

~Surah Maidah (5:110)

THE REVELATION TO JESUS (GOSPEL , NOT GOSPELS) :

And We did certainly give Moses the Torah and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Jesus, the son of Mary, clear proofs and supported him with the Pure Spirit. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to you, [O Children of Israel], with what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party [of messengers] you denied and another party you killed.

~Surah Baqarah (2:87)

……and We gave him the Gospel, in which was guidance and light and confirming that which preceded it of the Torah as guidance and instruction for the righteous.

~Surah Maidah (5:46)

JESUS WILL RETURN BEFORE THE DAY OF JUDGEMENT :

And indeed, Jesus will be [a sign for] knowledge of the Hour, so be not in doubt of it, and follow Me. This is a straight path.

~Surah Zukhruf (43:61)

Narrated Abu Huraira:

Allah’s Apostle said, “The Hour will not be established until the son of Mary (i.e. Jesus) descends amongst you as a just ruler, he will break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax. Money will be in abundance so that nobody will accept it (as charitable gifts).

JESUS WAS A MESSENGER OF ALLAH (GOD)...

They say: “(Allah) Most Gracious has begotten a son!”

Indeed ye have put forth a thing most monstrous!

The heavens almost rupture therefrom and the earth splits open and the mountains collapse in devastation That they should invoke a son for (Allah) Most Gracious.

For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son.

~ Surah Maryam (19:88-92)

Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, “Be,” and he was.

~Surah Ale-Imran (3:59)

JESUS WAS NOT CRUCIFIED :

The Jews abused Jesus and boasted that they killed him but The Qur’an comes to tell the truth and rescue Jesus from that allegation , Even christians today believe that Jesus dies a death of accursed but Qur’an says :

That they said (in boast), “We killed Christ Jesus the son of Mary, the Messenger of Allah”;- but they killed him not, nor crucified him, but so it was made to appear to them, and those who differ therein are full of doubts, with no (certain) knowledge, but only conjecture to follow, for of a surety they killed him not:-

Rather, Allah raised him to Himself. And ever is Allah Exalted in Might and Wise.

~Surah Nisa (4:157-158)

TRUTH ABOUT HIM WILL BE REALISED WHEN PEOPLE DIE BUT THEN IT WOULD BE LATE AND JESUS WILL BEAR WITNESS AGAINST THEM WHO BELIEVED THAT HE WAS CRUCIFIED :

And there is none from the People of the Scripture but that he will surely believe in Jesus before his death. And on the Day of Resurrection he will be against them a witness.

~Surah Nisa (4:159)

MUHAMMAD (pbuh) : THE LAST & ONLY PROPHET AFTER JESUS :

Abu Huraira reported many ahadith from Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) and one is that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: I am most close to Jesus, son of Mary, among the whole of mankind in this worldly life and the next life. They said: Allah’s Messenger how is it? Thereupon he said: Prophets are brothers in faith, having different mothers. Their religion is, however, one and there is no Apostle between us (between I and Jesus Christ).
